Hal Lublin

Flexible, Characters, Comedy, Guy Next Door

Voice Description

My work has run the gamut from wild cartoon style character voices to more down-to-earth commercial voices and narration. I'm particularly good with comedy scripts, but also have the ability to communicate techspeak in a natural and relatable fashion. I can work in a number of different styles and projects, and my 20 year background in improvisation means I'm comfortable going off-script when it's wanted.

My Voice Experience

I've worked on an animated series for AOL as one of the leads playing a vaudeville puppet and a mysterious narrator, a number of Anime projects as various characters from a German aviator ghost to a ship's computer. I also did work on a "Squiggle Vision" series called Hey Monie, which was much more improvisational.

I've done a few video games, doing a voice match for Neil Flynn and playing the typical military hero character.

In commercials I've done straight announcers and regular guys for different cell phone companies and played a cheerleading bear for a Disney XD spot.

I've also done a lot of looping work playing everything from cops to sportscasters to DJs to Zombies.

Primarily my professional work has been done in studio but I have recorded jobs from home.

Additional Skills

I am a huge sports fan, so I'm comfortable with the terminology of almost any sport. I'm also a big comic book and sci-fi nerd, so I have a deep frame of reference there. Comedy as well.

I've worked for 7 years as the spokesperson for some B2B Symantec products, so I can rattle off technical terminology easily.

I'm an accomplished improv and sketch performer, and for the past 8 years I've performed as a core cast member of the extremely popular "Thrilling Adventure Hour", which is a live show that is also podcast through the Nerdist network.
