I started in small town radio in the mid 70's until I realized I'd need a "real job" to live on. As in all local broadcasting, I sold and wrote copy and did the voice work for our hometown sponsors, and voice donuts for national auto, furniture and food/restaurant accounts.
I've been an emcee for fashions shows, the narrative voice for a river rafting video and the "Storyteller" character for a live stage production.
I studied broadcasting and broadcast engineering in those 70's, and received a 1st Class FCC license...which was later de-regulated and no longer needed for the industry.
Over the years I have traveled with my "ears open". I love conversation, constantly listening for accents and dialects and have always worked at imitating them.
I have digital recording equipment that I originally purchased for my musical interests. I use an Apple Mac with ProTools, a Marshall condensor mic through a Tube ART preamp. I also use an Alesis 3630 compressor and a BBE 462 sonic maximizer.
I have worked in sales and customer service where I've always had to listen, relate, empathize and communicate with people. I've used these skills in manufacturing, banking and retail environments.
I love reading and movies.
My turn-ons are good food and travel.
My turn-offs are bad food and sitting home twittling my thumbs.
