Eric Johnston

Voice of Authority, Character Actor, Voice of Calm

Voice Description

I graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1995 as one of the few students ever to make an A in Voice and Speech. I am capable of clear, concise diction in a strong baritone which would sound great for narrations and as a product expert. The "Voice of God" or the manly voice of calm are all within my range. I can also do "cartoon dialects", broad voices like pirates, Cockney and Southern hillbilly for fun character work. People LOVE my acting choices and my vocal choices.

My Voice Experience

The only voiceover experience that I have were doing some radio commercials in the mid-'90s. They are all on my "reel" (beer commercial, sporting goods store, etc.). All were booth work reading copy, and demonstrate my range. I stopped acting in the late '90s to concentrate on raising a family, but am trying to get back into voiceover.

Additional Skills

After leaving professional acting, my wife and I are raising a family of three kids. I practice my voices on them all the time! I am an outside sales rep, so I have no problem with a professional, polished sound. I continue to act locally, so my character work gets practiced as well.
