Honest, Soothing, Friendly, Warm, Serious
My narration voice is smooth, clear and distinctive. It is low and soothing and can express great feeling and range of emotion supported by many years of stage acting.
For the purpose of audiobooks I can offer a broad range of character voices, distinctive and consistent throughout a script.

My Voice Experience
I have done on camera and extensive stage acting as well as participated in Choir.
Most recently I voiced a 1.5 hour prenatal yoga audio tape as well as children's books.
I was the voice for the promotional video for the Southern Gulf Islands of BC, funded by the Capital Reginal District government, that was launched to coincide with the tourism of the 2010 Olympics.
Provided VoiceOver work for a film festival drama called Tree Man in 2009.
I have a diploma of Studio Arts and a history of performing arts.
I have always been a very auditory learner and been lost in an oratory world. My childhood report cards would say 'Erica would meet her full potential if she would simply stop talking'. I counter that I may reach my full potential by talking.
I first learned of audio books in the late 1990's when my father was listening to books as a truck driver and I became hooked when I also drove truck for a year in 2008. My days working as a visual artist when I am not recording are spent listening to all varieties of audiobooks, gaining knowledge as well as insight.
In 2009 I attended the Gulf Island Film and Technology School to learn to create documentaries, and I voiced some peers works. I was encouraged by the special guest mentor Cal Johnson of Burnt Lizard Media to continue to pursue what he considered a natural talent for VoiceOver work.
Since then I have studied under Voice talent and coach Deb Munro, built my own studio, and voiced fantasy novels through to instructional audio.
My Studio Equipment
In my own studio I am currently working from a NT1A rode microphone or a MXL 990 condenser microphone and a Scarlett Focusrite preamp.
I have editing experience with Adobe Soundbooth, Audacity, Final Cut Pro, Pro Tools, and Cubase.
Although I am capable of editing my own work and electronically providing a finished product in almost any format, I take excellent direction and can really take risks and step out in a professional recording studio.
I am professional, likable, and easy to work with.
