Senior, Characters, Voices, Believable, Conversational or Hard hitting, Various dialects
With over 30 years of announcing experience on the air and doing production in radio, I have done a lot of different approaches to making a script more that just words on paper. Making the words come to life was a real challenge in some cases.
I can handle about anything from warm and easy to really attention getting character voices.
I used a few character voices which I found fun and profitable while in radio. The crusty old cowboy was used to sell a barbeque place in New Mexico on an annual contract. Prior to that the owner had never had any success with radio. He also used my spots on some other stations, and later became one of my clients with my advertising agency there.

My Voice Experience
I started broadcasting while still in high school, and now I'm theoretically retired, so there's a lot of ground to cover.
I've produced more commercials and PSAs than Carter has little liver pills. (If you understand that, you're about my age. My production talents were responsible for getting quite a few new accounts on the air at my stations, then to be dubbed for use elsewhere.
I have also trained a lot of newcomers to the industry, many of whom went on to gain good positions in their respective areas.
I have done a lot of books for a not for profit organization in Midland, TX called the Reading Library for the Blind.
I've been a guest speaker for businesses and civic groups many times relating my experiences in the industry.
I am proud to promote my Doctorate from "The University of Hard Knocks" along with several thousand other veteran broadcasters. I was invited to be included in the second edition of Who's Who in broadcasting, and several editions after that.
My Studio Equipment
In those years, I think it is safe to say if someone made it, I used it.
Today, I have my own equipment in a spare room in my home. Naturally it's all digital and I can produce the product in about any format you desire, for about any purpose.
There have been times when I re-wrote copy and sent it back to the sales rep or the account for approval if it was a major change. In some cases changing just a word or two for bad grammar passed with no approval required.
I was also a corporate officer after my broadcasting career. Being the president of a corporation can be a high paying position, but the politics are bad for your health, and it's nowhere near as much fun as broadcasting. So, now that I have decided to retire, I am returning to do what I love, so I won't have to work anymore.
