My Voice Experience
i am a new voiceover talent trained by creative voice development group of schenectady, ny.i am ready to put it out there and excited to perform my craft. i am 55 and have been told by my personal voice over coach that i could read a wide range of copy. i was also told by mr. don bowers that humor reflects in my voice very strongly. needless to say, life has given me experience. being the second oldest of 8 children, and oldest female at that, i was little mama for the little ones and developed a great sense of humor in order to survive. I raised two of my own children and would often use character voices (that i made up), and would have them rolling..also, i have 3 grandchildren who do the jaw drop thing when i come up with crazy voices.they love it and insisit i "do that voice again grandma". i swear i must have been an old southern african american woman in another life because this voice just pops out of me llike it has been a part of me forever. it's alot of fun...there you have it...i can sing too. do not read music however. jingles would be fun. i have a demo of various songs...i learn by ear.
i trained for 3 months over the phone with a personal voiceover trainer and have the recorded cds of each session. i also went to the recording studio at creative voice development group in schenectady,ny.i also have a musical backgroung in singing. i have done local theater that required dialouge, singing and some dancing. this was back in 1997.as a young adult i have perfomed solos in jr. high and church. i was in a gospel group of 4 girls, i being the lead singer. we did some live local radio and tv talent show in pa. we competed in a christ ambassodor contest and won first place in our division with several churches from surrounding states. it is all such a blurr now. i have recorded a demo of favorites and do a little singing at weddings. mostly i sing for family at this point.
My Studio Equipment
none at this time. however, i do have a friend who has a recording studio they have offered for my use.
i have written articles for a company i worked for approximately 6 years ago. i love to write but would prefer to write a book with an interesting story rather than articles relating to buissness. but it got me published and i enjoy doing research. i am a singer, and have recorded a demo. i also can write lyrics.
