deep, baritone, engaging, conversational, cowboy
My voice has been described to me (by others) as a friendly radio voice. Deep, strong, (and Texan if needed)-- it's the kind of voice you'd expect to hear on the radio or announcing an event.
A conversational and engaging voice, or one to convey any type of emotion. Authentic Texan, cowboy or an urban city slicker.

My Voice Experience
I've spent over fifteen years of my career either teaching or talking to people on the phone in various situations and have often been told that I should do voice over work. For the past five years I have managed training releases for the Fortune 100 company that I work for. In that role, I've auditioned and received internal voice-over parts and have completed several voice-over projects for full length technical web-based training videos.
As a corporate technical trainer, I know that presence before your audience sets the tone for how well they will listen to you and remember what you have to say. When you speak in an engaging and conversational manner while conveying competency, it helps the listener really hear and remember what your saying. The way you speak-- clearly, engaging, engendering trust-- goes a long way toward achieving your end goal-- getting the listener to not only hear what you have in mind, but to remember it. This is how I approach my training events.
Keeping the "end in mind" with each project will help produce the desired result. That's my passion. Proactively delivering a quality product while keeping the end in mind.
My training and experience includes practical application ranging from performing monologues and theatre performances for audiences of 1,200 to Fortune 100 corporate training scripts. I also exercise and practice my voice acting every evening with my children at bed-time (if you think this is simple, you haven't heard my bed-time stories).
I can say that I am in constant contact with a private tutor in my wife, who graduated from De Paul University's Theater program with a B.F.A. in 1997. I take advantage of and work with her in honing my talent in providing believable and engaging stage and voice acting.
My Studio Equipment
My studio includes an Intel Mac with professional grade condensor mic (Shure & Blue) and software (Adobe Master Collection CS5, including SoundBooth & Premier Pro). I also have sound effects (royalty-free) that I can use to enhance any recording.
As a professional trainer, I've had the opportunity to script/write copy, record and edit training projects that are used to deliver training to thousands of internal support personnel globally (English speaking).
As a father, I engage in voice acting every night with my children who demand that we have story time when they go to bed.
Regarding other skills that will positively impact your experience when you hire me, you can trust in the following:
-- I won't have computer problems (I am an accomplished network and computer technician)
-- I won't have trouble reading (or creating) a script since I am seasoned technical trainer and instructor,
-- You're hiring an experience project manager (member of PMI since 2007) who understands the importance of dependencies, tasks, timeliness, quality and deliverables.
