Educated, Authoritative, Believable, Narrator.
My voice over coach, "Andy" award V.O. actor, Leonard Dozier, tells me that my voice would best be used for narration work such as books on tape or instructional videos, (such as those received with a new product). I also enjoy copy with complex terms and sentence structure such as medical or engineering material.
I poled members of my theater group as to what sense they get from my voice. Their responses were: Authoritative, Believable, A Coach, Genuine, Mature, Doctor/Medical, Narrator, Natural, Serious, Storyteller, Technical Instructor (acting as the Technical Director (TD) for my theater for 9 years and TD,ATD and Equity Stage Manager professionally for 7 years in the 70's, I often taught Stage Craft and safe tool use and electrics to other members of those groups)
I am an experienced stage actor; therefore I can offer skilled work in commercials and other presentations requiring skilled pronunciation and intonation, whether serious or humorous. In real life, I like to play the guy you see in sit-coms who says the most outlandishly stupid things, in an attempt to get my listener to pause and ask themselves "Is he serious?" I can provide these skills on camera as well.
Being the class clown in most group situations, comic timing has become second nature. I also enjoy hearing and making up "Malapropisms"

My Voice Experience
During my college days,(Late 1960s') I worked with a classmate making a great many hours of "Job Core" Training Tapes for the Government under contract to the University of Pittsburgh. The format was a dialogue between two young guys, one smart, one not so smart. The less smart guy complains about the trouble he was having with some project. Then the smart guy would explain what to do. I played the dumber guy.
While working for Studio Arena in Buffalo New York, I played off stage, as a Carnival Barker in "Other Voices, Other Rooms", an original play written by Truman Capote.
More recently I performed the voices of Dwight Eisenhower and Martin Kitzmiller (German Accent) the plaintiff in a ground breaking court case, in a local documentary, "Adams County, the Story of the Land". Recently I performed the introductory and climactic narrations for "The Big Deal". A film broadcast to classrooms nationwide, by the National Park Service.
I have a professional work ethic: arrive before the "call" time, ready to work and willing to do whatever is needed, to provided my client with the product they desire.

In stage work, I have played roles ranging from the benevolent Grandpa in "You can't Take It With You" to the psychotic Willie in "Early One Evening at the Rainbow Bar and Grill" and to the beleaguered, passive aggressive George, in "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf". I am NRA Certified in "Pistol" and "Personal Protection in the Home" instruction.
In the summer of 2011, I had my first play, “I Know Things" produced.
I am skilled in Locksmithing, Stage Carpentry and Electrical work. I could easily narrate pieces about these occupations as well as the tools used.
In 2002, I joined with two friends experienced in theater, to form the "Gettysburg Stage Ensemble Theatre". In 12 years, we have produced almost 3 dozen plays.
