My Voice Experience

For the past 30 years, I've either been asked if I'm in radio or told that I need to be in radio. And for 30 years, I've said 'perhaps some day I'll do that.' Some day is here.
In the meantime, I've done voice-over narrations for a local foundation's videos, announced baseball games, and done quite a bit of public speaking as president of my company and president of our local educational foundation. I've also been known to do a pretty mean Johnny Cash impersonation when inspired by guitar talent at local gatherings.
Thus - formal voice-over experience is admittedly limited. However, you'll find me to be poised, professional, and open to doing your project so that, indeed, I can expand my resume. I'll also gladly do live events, as public speaking has been a part of my career, which I enjoy.

Additional Skills

Working with and coaching people is what I do. Whether it be within the work environment or as the head of a local foundation - my activities come down to understanding and working with people.
I see voice-over as not just throwing my voice into a script; but rather, feeling the script, understanding the audience, and making the message personal, so that it resonates with those who listen.
My studies abroad (I spent a year studying at the University of Madrid) and establishment of fluency in a second language (Spanish) have been critical in my development. When you learn another language, you gain not only a better understanding of your own language; but also, great intuition regarding your audience. You learn to be more cognitive of others around you and understand whether your message is getting through.
When I speak publicly or read a script, I am there - with my audience - communicating with them, not at them.
I will bring this same passion and intuition to your voice-over project.
