I have over thirty years of experience in presenting myself to clients and corporations. I have done presentations for CitGroup as an account executive in the real estate finance arena and as a Realtor.
I have spent the last 6 months working in the Customer Care field for a fortune 500 corporation, speaking with 1000 people per month. It was surprising to me that nearly 30% of the callers would remark that I should be doing voice over for commercial television or radio. Even more amazing is that the bulk of my calls are upset consumers that while upset and frustrated would calm down because of my voice tone and demeanor. As time has gone on I began to take it serious and decided to make the effort to break into the voice over community.
While my voice over experience is minimal, I am a professional in nature and completely devote myself to any project at hand. My technical background in networking, and web site design has given me the additional ability to express complicated situations in an easy to understand approach and tone.
My training has evolved from life's experiences in both the Finance and Real Estate field. Communication is key and presentation is everything. Having a clean clear and understandable speech in addition to the tone and demeanor.
I have done several commercials for cable and one 15 minute spot for a cable TV show.
I have 2 HP Pavilion systems with MixCraft5 software. I use a RODE NT1A microphone and have an excellent broad band connection. I lease a few servers so ftp is not an issue. I use VOIP and/or Skype as a phone patch.
My primary skill is staying focused and pure devotion to completing any task. I'm punctual, never ill, and will always be ready for work and do whatever it takes to meet a deadline. My technology and corporate experience not only enables my speech presentation but also gives me the ability to speak with experience and confidence.
I make it a point to research, practice, and gain confidence in whatever product I'm presenting. My goal is to "sell myself" on the given product or service giving it a personal value. Then I proceed to imagine I "own" the product or service establishing some personal pride. From that point on it is easy.
