I have been getting compliments on my voice as long as I can remember. I began doing the school news broadcast in high school (Alpena, MI) where citizens of my town called in to commnet on my clear, authoritative vocal presence. In college at Northern Michigan University I had a radio show, I had regular female callers call in to tell me my voice was sexy, as well as the occasional lonely prisoner. I started doing radio spots for the non-commercial station (91.5 WUPX), while still doing public news broadcasts and hosting my own local-access music show. I also worked in phone fundraising for four years which required me speak politely and clearly over a long period of time.
I graduated from Northern Michigan University with a degree in electronic journalism and a speech communication minor. I studied writing for broadcasting, studio TV production, and audio production, all which required me to learn to enunicate for studio recording. I also gave many speeches over my time there and learned how to comfortable in front of people and in a studio. Working in phone fundraising also made me learn how to keep my voice steady for long periods.
I have a basic understanding of Pro Tools. I learned to read when I was two and will read scripts cleanly. I have a great sense of humor so I'm told., and I have experience working on editing short films and know Final Cut Pro. I am also an experienced production assistant and a scriptwriter who has worked in television news and can write copy.
