My mother claims I started talking at 3 months old. I can't really remember the beginning, but I know I haven't stopped since. I was one of those kids who was in every school play...up to and including acting classes in Ireland where I went to school for a year, a minor in Theater where I did "Playboy of the Western World", "The Importance of Being Earnest", "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" etc., 2 years of working in every show at a local professional dinner theater, and 17 years as a creative/production director in radio. I've done national stuff here and there...a training video for Tarkett. Hey, I learned how to install a floating wood floor! Also I was the voice for IPIX when they started up. I even did some work for HGTV...other gigs too numerous to mention
I have a Bachelor's in English literature. I taught English to Freshmen as a graduate student for a year. Hey, that was intense training...talking for a solid hour three times a week to 20 or 25 totally disinterested 18 and 19 year olds. I also have a minor in Theater. For financial reasons I didn't finish my Masters, but started to work instead at a local radio station. I have worked in radio now since 1990 as a creative/ production director, and on-air talent. The latter I no longer pursue. I have done voice over work on radio and tv for what seems like every client who advertises in this market. Now, I'm looking to find some greener pastures where everyone isn't sick of hearing me yet!
I'm allowed full access to my station's broadcast quality studio. I'm profficent at adobe.
I offer very quick turn around, and I'm great at taking directions and following instructions. I'm not just an announcer, I'm a voice actor. I'll get the nuance in there and bring it in on time. My breath control and enunciation skills come in handy when you have alot of copy to be read in a short ammount of time.
