Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I have been told I sound like Laurence Fishburne and I do actual impressions of actors like James Earl Jones, Morgan Freeman and Ice-T (Yes, Ice-T.). I can create cartoon voices; I'm especially suited to bad guys and evil monsters but I can get wild, wooly and weird too! I do a particularly good Japanese accent (I studied the language for two years and my wife is from there!) and I do pretty convincing proper British and Cockney accents. Regional dialects, like New York (I'm a native), Baltimore and Urban California.

My Voice Experience

I came from film and TV production but in 2006 I was hired by Alexander Interactive to narrate a corporate video entitled 'Past, Present, Future' for their client, Vanity Fair Mills.

I did an urban radio DJ-style voice and a typical narrator's read for an independent documentary, produced by Czar Productions about the life of rapper, Christopher Rios, Big Punisher.

My Training

I attended the Professional Performing Arts High School in New York City from 1992-1996. At that time, I did many PSA's and television projects but I became more interested in production so I entered the production world after graduation.

I worked for the electronic publicity firm, On The Scene Productions, from 1999-2000. It was there, I learned the craft of writing copy for and producing voice overs that sell not only a product but a brand.

I never considered this as a viable career until 2006 when I got the Alexander Interactive gig. Now I have a professionally produced demo with many voice types and I work evenings so as to be free to attend auditions and work.

Additional Skills

I am a New York State Certified EMT currently working and volunteering in the 911 system. I know how first-hand how to talk on police and EMS bands.

I am athletic. I bike to work most evenings and play Judo three times a week. I also run twice a week.
