My Voice Experience

As an experienced, career actor, I have performed for audiences of all ages in a wide a variety of character roles for the screen and stage, including live improvisation and sketch comedy. I have done voiceover for two reports for the Forum of People with Disabilities in Ireland, plus booklets, reports and novels for the blind and visually impaired.

I have done on-hold messaging for clients in England and Canada.

My Training

I trained in voiceover with A1VOX, London.

Mike Leigh, the celebrated film director, ran an improvisation workshop in London which I attended.
Royal Shakespeare Company voice coaches, Cicely Berry and Mel Churcher, ran voice training sdessions which I attended.

I have also done training with the BBC Radio 4 Drama Department.

In Dublin I trained with John Dawson in improvisation.
My formal qualifications are a BA in Drama and English from Middlesex University, England, and a Masters in Drama and Theatre Studies from Trinity College, Dublin.

Additional Skills

I have designed and implimented 3 EU arts and disability projects in England and Ireland, which included delivering reports in both writing and voice.

Teaching both children and adults has meant delivering information in a clear and engaging manner.

Working in theatre-in-education gave me the opportunity to play a wide range of characters and age-ranges, and the delight of working with and for children; from ages 6 to 18.
