First: I am a member of vps-asp.ch, NOT listed in your selection of federations /associations,the Swiss Association of Voice-Over Professionals

Second: I was "made in Paris" but born in Amsterdam, but grew up with British English since my 3rd year. Being a linguist by training , I also offer language / pronounciation and recording technique coaching since years.

Voice: as above: warm and deep but, if needed, funny (characters), sensual, sexy (if wanted), professional (Due to my work as a conference interpreter) clear and distinct.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

None.

All 4 languages I record in are free of accent.

A reason why I am often booked for telephone answering messages as I can deliver EN, FR and GE together (often the case here in Switzerland) without any accent.

I have been booked from the NL (recording in Zurich) for radio and tv-commercials broadcasted in The Netherlands.


IMPORTANT:
I DO NOT RECORD....
or dub in any Swiss German dialect (even though I studied in Zurich and speak the ZH dialect fluently). It DOES happen that a client looks for and clearly wants a NON native De-Ch "accent" . Only then will I accept the assignment. But De-CH is NOT LISTED in my languages!!!

My Voice Experience

I was working as a conference interpreter for a medical meeting. Somewhere in 1988.

In the break, two gentlemen came up to me ans asked me if I was " the French voice" they had been listening to for 3 hours. I answered " yes, I'm one fo the 2 interpreters in the French booth". They: " you have exactly the voice we have been looking for to comment our first industry film. Can you please record it for us, if possible also in En?2.

That's how my 3rd profession (next to translation and interpretation business) started..............

My Training

- Swiss High School (Bacalauréat/ Maturité) in the French speaking part of Switzerland
- 1 1/2 years at the Fribourg University (languages and journalism)
- Translation and Interpretation school in ZURICH /CH.

I also was a... class. ballet dancer in London (for just under a year because of serious health problems) and have always acted in non-professional acting groups. And I sing (jazz/ musical comedies)since the age of 14...

My Studio Equipment

No own studio.

But I record regularly in/with 2 highly prof' studios who send my work to whoever needs it, per ISDN, as mp3 files.
This has worked for the last 20 years..

Additional Skills

I translate /adapt / rewrite texts for recording, lip-sync' included. That is IF I receive the film/video on my MAC together with a transcription of all texts to bed recorded / dubbed.
