My Voice Experience

I was overwhelmed with joy as Pat complimented my voice on my first day at choir rehearsal. "Wow, we gon have to get you a solo soon"- she said. I sniled with great joy. A few weeks later, Desmond, my choir director, offered the solo to me. Of coarse I said yes, and that was my first real singing experience in the church.
I began working with Robert Allison in his home recording studio. It was very hectic sometimes, and it took me away from some friends and family activities, but they supported me. It was definatley worth it.
Now I stil sing in the choir, Alot of solos in chuch. I am planning to sing at many church comcerts in the future. I am currently hoping that my singing in the church turns into something bigger.

My Training

I never really had voice traing. I guess I always knew how to sing. I joined the choir when I was 5 years old. That's when i discovered I could sing. I guess I was always meant to know how to sing because My entire immediate family, and and most of my extended family can sing. Before My cousin melissa moved to Georgia, we used to sing together in the church. We would sing like we were afraid of the mike, but after years of performing we grew to love the mike. Now it's afriad of us!

Additional Skills

When I was about 9 years old, used to look through the yellow pages for studios that I could attend. I found a few, only I was not finacilly stable to supprt my attendance to any of them. I continued to sing whereever I was invited. I told A church friend that I love to sing. he invited me to his home studio, where I sang for him. He called me later that night and told me he would like me to come in and do some recording. This happened in october 2003. It is now october 2005 and I still work with him. I completed 3 cds in his studio. 2 of them contained 13 songs and 1 caontained 10 songs. I enjoyed my time with him.
