My voice can be smart and sophisticated when the topic is serious, but I can sound compassionate and concerned if you have an important public service announcement. I can also sound funny and sarcastic when necessary, and seductive and breathy when it's time to promote high-end products. My Voice Experience

As a long time journalist, I have been using my voice to communicate for years. I am new to the world of voice acting and recently did my first radio ad for a regional federal credit union. But using my voice is not new to me. I have done recorded interviews for national organizations and regularly conduct interviews with experts on a variety of topics.

My Training

I am a recent graduate of Voice Coaches in Albany, N.Y. and received my bachelor's degree in magazine journalism and psychology from Syracuse University. Please visit my website at http://winnieyu.net.

I have Garage Band on my Mac and have used it to rehearse my voice acting.

Additional Skills

I am a seasoned journalist, who has been working as a freelance writer for almost 14 years, writing books, web copy and magazine articles for national publications. Before that, I was a newspaper reporter, magazine editor and corporate communications professional. My experience has given me strong writing and editing skills, which I applied to some of the copy on my voice demo.

I am also a flutist in a local orchestra, and a yoga enthusiast. All these experiences contribute to making me a well-rounded communicator, and I view my voiceover training as just another way to convey information.

I am a hard-working self-starter, who strives to do her best on every job. I have done fundraising, publicity, and events planning for various organizations, too. Never one to shy away from a challenge, I am capable of tackling any assignment.
