From the beginning, with Lifesavers Roll Candy in 1979 (introducing Suzanne Somers and Dorothy Hamills), to a wacky promo for Looney Skip Rooney on the Uncle Floyd Show in 1982, to 20 months of commercials, spanning 1993-1994, for Tops Appliance City (eight megastores in New York and New Jersey) as the voice of "Topsy," to a recent September slide show narration for RADAR by AssetBook--my voice has remained virtually unchanged. This is a good thing (I think). The Topsy voice was chosen after an exhaustive, greater New York area search for a uniquely blended Brooklyn/New York City accent to give the character a distinctive flavor (fuggettaboutit!).
While doing on-camera spokesman work, my Fidelity Funds commercial ran for three years in several mid-western states, from 1985-1987.
While I wrote commercial and promotional copy for Goen Technologies, 2001-2005, I also voiced most of their radio and TV spots for the diet pill TrimSpa, using a variety of character voices, including JFK, Jack Nicholson and Melvin Douglas.
Wrote and narrated copy for Goen Seminars, which used hypnosis-based technology for weight loss and cessation of smoking.
In 2009, I used my Peter Lorre and Boris Karloff impressions for the main characters in an educational project involving the teaching of the multiplication tables.
Lehigh University, BA Psychology, Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, WRLN, campus radio station (weekly show with a partner, doing voices), Mustard & Cheese Dramatic Club.
Career Academy, broadcast training. While there I interviewed Bobby Thomson who hit "The Shot Heard 'Round the World." Perhaps the most famous homerun in baseball history, catapulting the 1951 miracle New York Giants into the World Series against the Yankees. Thomson shared insights about that amazing season never revealed to the media.
WJDM radio, record personality, news, talk show host, baseball/football play-by-play. Called Willie Mays cold at his hotel room, during the Mets 1973 Division Championship season, for a live 20 minute radio interview. Phil Rizzuto said my interview with him, on our midday talk show, was the best he'd experienced on the radio.
WVNJ radio, 1979-1983.
WPAT radio, 1985.

I Wrote TrimSpa diet pill copy for the radio team of Scott & Todd on WPLJ FM radio, from 2002-2004, while at Goen Technologies. They had full creative control over the dialogue (while adhering to the basic message) and could make any changes in the copy to better suit their comedic style. They barely ever altered anything! I thought that was a great testament to my ability to deliver the message and stay in synch with their style and rhythm on the air. Everybody was very happy and our diet product thrived through our combined efforts.
My dream would be to become involved in a burgeoning project, where a distinctive character voice or my basic likability and ability to inspire trust, inherent in the narration, would be a vital factor in the overall success of the endeavor.
My relentless perseverance and desire to deliver the best possible product is the key to my value in any situation. There is never any ego overriding the process.
