My Voice Experience

Worked for magician Kirby VanBurch as Master of Ceremony in Branson, Missouri.
Accomplished voice over commercial for friends of mine who own business called the General Store in Wyatt, Mississippi and was aired on KIX 106 in Memphis, Tennessee. And recently did another voice over for Central Assembly of God church which aired on Evangel University KECC radio.

My Training

I never really learned to do voice overs because I just out-of-the-blue discovered my talent when I was 18 years old. A few people told me that I should try for soft-rock radio and I waited many years to get into the voice over business because I really thought nothing about it for a long time. As I tested my talent I soon discovered that more could be accomplished doing commercials. When I say "tested my talent", I mean that I use a different professional voice and not my everyday speaking voice.

I did try out for Actors and Others Talent Agency with Red and Pat West in Memphis, Tennessee. As you may realize Red West was Elvis Presley's former bodyguard and has now built not only his acting career but also a talent agency. I acted on stage for him and at first was told by him I over-acted. The scene was tried again and I did much better and was told what to do for training.

Additional Skills

I project my voiceover talent with sometimes excitement. Accomplished two :30 second commercials: The General Store featured on KIX 106 in Memphis, Tennessee and a PSA for the church I attend featured on KECC radio at Evangel University.
I also assist in setting up and running television cameras for ECTV (Evangel Cable Television) News live every Tuesday night on Mediacom Channel 27.
