Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Strong skills as a mimic, capturing cadence and manner of speech. Have recorded in North American (Boston, New York etc.), European (German, British etc.) and Asian (Chinese, Thai etc.) accents for radio programs. Mimic of celebrity, popular cartoon characters and such.

My Voice Experience

Complete a season and numerous "Specials" for a radio drama called "The Sydney Shade Serial" (a throwback to 'The Shadow' style thrillers). I played numerous villains and supporting characters in each episode, sometime up to 5 characters at once. A wide array of dialects and character types had to be invented, some with natural accents and some with voice experiments (simulated mutilated jaws for example).

recorded voice over work for other radio shows, performed entire specials as celebrities (example: half-hour show as Canadian icon Stuart McLean), and commercials for campus radio.

Voice work for stop-motion animated shorts, soon a feature length by Steve Kostanski.

Performed ADR for feature length film co-written by Guy Maddin scribe George Toles (writer of animation Edison and Leo as well).

My Training

Six years and Two Degrees studying at the University of Manitoba, studying Film, English and Theatre (experiance that the theatre therein).

Training at the Prairie Theatre Exchange (comedy).

Additional Skills

I have long been fascinated by voice work but understand it is not all for animations and the like. I focus my training on capturing the tones and dialects that are required for any specific job. Having come from a musical household and witnessed jingle/song recording since a youth, I understand the studio recording process and what is required to make ones voice clear and understandable when needed.
