Voice Description
My voice has a resonant baritone quality with very clear enunciation. I can vary the pitch considerably depending on the character that I am playing. I also have an excellent singing voice. Foreign language study in high school and college taught me an authentic pronunciation of German and French.
Dialects/Accents: German, Russian, Standard British-more coming soon.
Impressions: Jackie Mason, Bullwinkle, Dana Carvey's Church Lady from SNL, Darth Vader.
Characters: "Old Prospector"-an elderly-sounding voice, much like a character actor in Westerns.
"Horror Narrator"-a refined, British-based voice, such as would be heard on an audio book of Edgar Allan Poe, or in a haunted house soundscape.

My Voice Experience
At Full Sail Center for the Recording Arts, in Winter Park FL, I appeared in a student film as a professor of Egyptology. At the audition, I read for the part using a British accent and was cast mostly for this reason. The role lead to others in two other student films, each needing a strong, commmanding voice.
For 5 years, I worked with a local telephone company, which required strong diction and a neutral standard American accent, since I was speaking with people from eight different states.
My Training
I have a natural talent for remembering and reproducing voices. I began my college career as a voice major, initially aspiring to become an opera singer, but later switched to German, desiring to teach the language, as well as a short study of Russian. Soon after, I began to supplement the foreign language study with the "Acting with an Accent" audio series by David Alan Stern. My initial thought was that the German accent lesson would be a fun way to help students learn to pronounce German correctly. I then learned the Russian accent lesson, and will continue to use this system to learn other dialects.

Additional Skills
In Florida, I studied film production and often worked on student projects as a script supervisor and music consultant because of my previous experience and my attention to detail. Some would say that I am a perfectionist, but I believe in doing my best work, and will not offer my services on a dialect project if I am not fully competent in that particular dialect. To that end, my resume will soon include more accents, when they are ready for use.
