Voice Description
I maintained a fantasy sportscaster diversion in a school club, complete with the "sound of the crowd." Testimonials expressed delight in how well I could mimic Al Helfer, Dizzy Dean, Earl Gillespie, Mel Allen, and Jack Brickhouse. I was a regular feature of the club's annual talent show.

My Voice Experience
Over 30 years in elementary and junior high education meant frequent requests by colleagues and principals to handle intercom announcements or narrations for slide shows they produced; a resume credit that warms my memories was my role for 10 years in narrating and pronouncing at the district spelling bee; contributed one-minute
narrations for "Dial-A-Prayer" and "Dial-A-
Saint" for a church in the 1960s, attesting that a client desirous of a sermonlike or revivalistic delivery would be pleased with my handling of your script.
My Training
This was essentially self-promoted with some conscious emphasis on impressions, as referred to earlier in the realm of sportscasting, but not limited to that. I have also "taken on" Edward R. Murrow, Walter Cronkite, Gary Cooper, Alistair Cooke, and Peter Lorre, to name a few notables. There have also been numerous live theater experiences, both in acting and directing. I sang bass in my church choir for years as well, besides being recruited to the "lay pulpit" for Scriptural readings.
