At age two, in 1952, I was entertaining Gramma by whistling classical music, and eventually doing impressions of Donald Duck, among other cartoon characters; I have honed them and moreto a keen edge subsequently;

Hosted my own morning drive show in the Chattanooga, Tennessee AM1420 WKWN tri-state radio market for three years, where I produced news, weather, sports and advertizing and did a wild 'swap shop' call-in show.

My Training

Wrote and directed my own radio theater/improv stuff with a B/O reel-to-reel tape recorder I got for Christmas, 1962... it took off from there, and I ended up doing plays of my own wild imaginings and impressions/mimicings in junior and high school of my teachers and their 'substitutes' (KARLOFF teaches Biology: "I thought I told you to put away that brain!");
SCHOOL of SPEECH, Northwestern university, 1968 - 1970: Children's theater, Shakespeare, All-School (WAA-MU) talent show, off-campus 'underground' theater; did a radio campus show; won a cash prize for a movie my buds and i did... did summer improv theater in St. louis, MO ...
