My Voice Experience

As I write this (July of 2009) I am new to the industry. I have taken a certification program at De Paul University (see education below). My experience lies in the world. I have a background in the sciences (physics) and 30 years in Information Technology, so I do techno-geek very well.

My Studio Equipment

My home studio consists pf a Shure KSM27 microphone connected to a M-Audio FastTrack Pro, connected in turn to a HP laptop running Windows Vista. My editing software is Adobe Audition 3.1. I use M-Audion BX5a studio monitors and Sony MDR-7506 headphones for sound reproduction.

Additional Skills

With my education in physics I am conversant in scientific terminology. I have spent the last 30 years in information technology, so computer terminology and techno-speak comes naturally. I have taught at the college level for a decade, and given many presentations at professional conferences, so I know how to sound confident, knowledgeable, and in control, and also how to articulate carefully.
