Voice Description

I have a very flexible voice, it could be fun, bubbly, sultry, dramatic, anything you want I will do my best to match. I am a Japanese Studies Major at Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, MN, I have had nearly 2 years of academic Japanese language as well as around 5 years of independent study. I have also taken 5 years of academic Spanish language. I have great diction and I've been told I have a neutral accent naturally, growing up between Kentucky and Minnesota, but I can manipulate my voice to do many different dialects.

My Voice Experience

I have been in many stage productions, including dramatic productions, Children's Theatre, and musicals. I love to sing and I have been in choir in school for about 4 years now. I am also taking private voice lessons at my University. I was on the Speech Team in High School and did decently, I really didn't find myself until my senior year and I have been developing my personality and interests since. I have never had a job that uses any of these talents since I am still in school, but I would love to be able to do something that I can have fun with and explore my talents in.

My Training

I have had no training in voice over acting specifically, but I have done work in theatre classes and production that helps develop voice talent. On the stage you need great diction, projection, pronuciation, proper dialects, and it's all live so there's no chance of getting to edit yourself when you're out there. I also have played the trumpet for nearly eleven years and been in music sice I was maybe in the third grade. It is a huge part of my life so I know about rhythm and lyrical structures.

Additional Skills

I have a decently adequate knowledge of computers and typing. Since, I don't have any professional demos, all of them were recorded by myself and edited by myself. I have a deeper set voice, more of an alto/tenor voice, although I do have a higher set register I am capable of, I am most comfortable in the lower register as that is how my voice is naturally set.
