My Voice Experience
READ ME...READ ME...READ ME...did that get your attention?
I am currently the morning show co-host on AM 740 KVOR...Southern Colorado's number one morning show. It's exciting and an incredible experience and very different from the FM radio I came from.
I've worked in radio for six years and five of the six were as a producer and traffic reporter for Westwood One / Metronetworks on a variety of stations during the morning show and afternoon drive. I would then jump to weekend on-air talent on 94.3 KILO in Colorado Springs as 'Nina Moore'. I also worked as a weekend on-air talent at 102.7 KBIQ under my real name.
I've done work for Lexus, the PGA and am now doing commentary for the USOC in their 'Amazing Moments' video segments on the United States Olympics website.
My Training
I attended Pikes Peak Community Colleges Radio and Television program back in 2003. Within the first month of my first semester I was working weekends at KILO as on-air talent 'Nina Moore' where I learned everything from being a great FM DJ to board op,recording, producing and imaging.
From there I branched out to traffic reporting where I was the producer for the radio stations of Southern Colorado as well as KKTV-11, the CBS local affiliate where I would fill in as an on-air anchor.
With the experience from the weekends at KILO and at Metro in traffic I took employment with Citadel Broadcasting where I've worked in Classic Rock, Country and News Talk. All of which have educated me in the need for great diversity of the on-air voice as well as how to write news scripts for concise and accurate delivery.
I am now branching out to narration, working with the United States Olympic Training Center on their Amazing Moments online segments.
With every job I do and every spot cut I learn more about voice work and continually improve on my quality and consistency.
