Voice Description

My voice is simple, to the point, and very much a friendly voice. I sound young, but sage and wise. My range is more of a tenor, however I can do sexy and fun, warm and upbeat, and professional and with a "salesman like" quality.

I speak english, and I am very good with words and syntax. I can do a western accent as I am a country music DJ, and I can also work as a character voice, given good direction.

I can read lengthy copy and sound conversational, so if you need a full audiobook recorded and want it to sound as though it were delivered as a conversation or a speach, then I'm your man!

My Voice Experience

As a country music DJ for the last several years, I am described by many to be a contradiction in terms! Half of the fun of my life has been the cowboy boot wearing, country music loving MBA who was a stock broker for a number of years, and now makes a good living working in the world of manufacturing consulting for my full time gig.

I have a very "folksy" voice and have created a weekly show that I host and narrate on the history of country music. I would gladly send you a copy of one of my shows at your request.

My Training

I hold an MBA from a top 50 business school here in the United States. I have worked in sales for nearly a decade, and now I spend my days helping others to achieve their goals.

I have been voice talent on AM and FM radio for the last three years, currently on air for about 12 hours each week on FM country radio, in the #31 market in the United States (Salt Lake City, Utah.)

I am an award-winning speaker through the Toastmasters organization, and I consider what I do to be unconventional.

I have acted on stage (years ago,) in addition to being on radio, and voice over, and I love to talk!! I focus each day on learning new vocabulary words, and getting stronger and stronger at what I do. My goals include becomming a member of the Country Music DJ Hall of Fame and I fully expect to get there one day.

My Studio Equipment

I have a full complement of equipment in the form of recording and editing. Right now I am using Adobe Auditions 2.0 and 3.0 and soon transitioning to Apple Mac. I also have a mixer and record player, tape player, CD player, MiniDisc Player / Recorder, and sound batting througout the studio for a rich, vibrant sound.

I can do extensive, or light production work, adding in music tracks, sound effects, mixing, mastering, etc.

I am equipped with ISDN capabilities and FTP internet file transfer, as well as broadcasting with the use of Audio TX Communicator software(audiotx.com - a Brittish company.) I can also record in any recognizable format and either email or snail mail whatever file format works for you.

I am excellent at recording, editing, mixing and mastering, adding multi-tracks and sound effects, and making it all sound good, using Adobe Auditions. If there is something you can think of, I can probably produce it.

Additional Skills

I teach others how to fly airplanes as a hobby (flight instructor) and I am an accomplished businessman. If you want more than just a voice on the other end of the line, I would love to talk with you and maybe even help develop what it is you are needing for your project.

I am a credentialled Project Manager (part of my love for telling others what to do:-) which means I can start and manage a project or task on time and under budget very easily. I am also a voting member of the Academy of Country Music (ACM,) and the Country Music Association (CMA.)
