I am the twisted genius behind "Wally's WEIRD Voices"- a one-man company devoted to Voice Acting, Comedy, and Audio Production.
My voice is Warm and Deep, but can go into the upper registers, and right into the "nails on the chalkboard" zone. But I specialize in the Exotic, the strange, and the downright Psychotic. "Off balance" voices are my specialty.
Along with accents (please see below), I do many impressions- including, but not limited to...

Training at KBSU radio station in Boise, Idaho, and KPFA in Berkeley.
Other than that, self taught... exhaustive practice imitating people like Kirk and Spock, John Lennon and Paul McCartney, Rod Serling, and others. I learned by recording their voices and listening, then recording myself imitating them and listening, and so on.
I thus used constant A/B testing between the original recording and my impression, refining and refining till I sound like my subject.
This process helped -and was helped by- my training in Audio Production. (Please see additional skills)
My Studio Equipment
Extensive home recording studio... Mikes include AKG C-1000-S and a pair of MXLs. Other equimpment includes ART Tube Compressor Pre-Amp, Tascam DA-30 MK II DAT recorder, Software such at Cool Edit Pro. Soundproofing, of course. Full FTP upload capabilities to my own domain at wallys.com.
Mostly, I try to put myself in the "head space" of the character I'm imitating. I use visualization techniques, a dash of method acting, and some good old fashioned instincts.
As to Audio Production: I have a limited sound effects library and no music library, but some great recording equipment, editing talent and software, and great delivery options.
