While living in Denver, Colorado with her husband and young children she was introduced to a manager of a radio station. He was impressed by her speaking voice and asked if she had ever thought of being on the radio.He saw in her the ability to speak to others and the attention she received from them. The station manager suggested she should have her own radio show. Within a few weeks Vonna was Denver's first female disc jockey. Her show was an immediate success. Although she gave the music format credit for the show's success,her fans felt it was her voice delivery. Vonna remained in Denver radio a few years.

After relocating to Los Angeles she began a new career in Acting and Voice Overs. Twenty years later studying hard for stage and TV served her well when recording commercials, promos and Voice Overs. Being a freelance talent in the Voice Over world allows her the flexibility to pursue any and all phases of the entertainment field.
