My Voice Experience

I retired from 20 years of radio work decades ago to go into television news. Now nearing retirement I have gotten back into voice work with the advent of computerized home studios. I was once told by a major market news director, "You have such a distinctive radio voice that you will have trouble landing a major market job, but once you are hired and established, your distinctive voice will be your asset because you don't sound like the average voice."

Having been out of radio for almost 30 years, I am looking for imaging and commercial jobs. I'm also very interested in giving back by offering non-profits free voice-over work.

My Training

Twenty years of radio experience ending in a top 5 market, recording voice-overs and commercials on an almost daily basis. I went from being a jock to radio news before leaving radio for television news. I got my first paid voice gig when I was 15. I am McLendon trained having worked at one of his stations in Dallas in the 60s.
