Voice Description
My ordinary speaking voice is "R.P." or "BBC" English, but I have worked as an actor, and can do British regional accents, and reasonable versions of American, Irish, Australian and others. I am a fluent reader, good at understanding and expressing the meaning of the lines I am given. My wide experience as an actor, reader and teacher enables me to adapt my voice to the text and context of what I have to say.
I speak and understand French, Danish and German quite well, but I cannot claim that I would pass for a native speaker in those countries, my accent is that of a competent foreigner.

My Voice Experience
I have recorded Audiobooks and magazine articles for the blind, done radio drama and talks, and acted all sorts of parts on stage - from Mediaeval mystery plays, through Shakespeare, Sheridan and Oscar Wilde, to 20th C. playwrights like Pinter, Becket, Alan Ayckbourn - and lots of others. It is second nature to me when I have a part, to look for the voice qualities of the character, from the professor giving a lecture, to a naive tourist, to a night-club bouncer, or the punter he's throwing out.
My Training
I have a degree in Psychology and Philosophy and a diploma in Journalism. I write plays as well as performing in them. Words are bread and meat to me; I have worked with them for years and think about them and how to use them all the time. Experience and practice is how I learned.

Additional Skills
I had a good university education, and have read widely in all sorts of scientific and academic subjects. I could read a scientific paper to an expert audience, a fairy-story or an adventure for a radio broadcast, with a minimum of preparation.
