Voice Description
My voice is deep and rich, but not a basso-profundo. I enjoy doing most any type of read, but seem to get particualrly good responses on my "warm and nuturing" voice, e.g. baby and skin care products. I have also been lauded for "explanation" reads; training, demonstration, etc. I enjoy the off-beat, silly reads as it gives me a chance to exercise my sense of humor and whimsy.

My Voice Experience
Starting out doing radio commercials in upstate new York, I then discovered how much voice-over work was not related to commercials. I have done commercials for Excel Auto Glass, Johnson Kia of Kingston, Ananconda Sports and Keegan Ales. I can occasionally be heard on the in-store entertainment program in FYE stores. When Overbilt Lifts (motorcycle carriers on RV's) wanted a mini-infomercial to promote their product, they asked me, and we finished the project in about a half of a day. I have done on-hold messaging, and recently have become the voice of the new "Mr. Wonderful" novelty doll, the voice of "Cranky Bear", and also provided the voices heard from a line of novelty items from the World Poker Tour. I also provide tags, liners and promos for a number of internet radio broadcasters. I have done some technical and scientific presentations over an internet radio station designed for astronomy.
My Training
I started back in the nineties with some basic voicing classes. I was mentored for years by a very well-known national voiceover talent, and also attended formal voicing lessons with Melissa Grey in New York City in 2003-2004.
My Studio Equipment
Shure KSM-32, Panasonic SV-3800 digital tape, Tascam 202 MK III dual cassette, Sea Sound Solo mixer, Wavelab production software, plus Alesis studio amp with Behringer monitors.
Additional Skills
I have mentored and given numerous talks to schools, emergency services, and even at West Point on topics ranging from astronomy and electronics to radio direction finding and hiking. I also have an immensely broad sense of humor which I enjoy sharing with other people. I can be dead serious at the microphone, or easy-going and light-hearted. Whatever it takes to get the message across.
