My Voice Experience

As an actor, singer, and teacher, I have used my voice for many years to sell, persuade, inform, excite, calm down, cajole, amuse, intrigue, and otherwise communicate to a wide variety of audiences. I am especially good at making difficult material accessible and understandable, and prepared material sound spontaneous. While my previous experience is focused on documentary and educational work, I have also voiced commercials, including one recently for Hawthorn Suites.

My background as a singer gives me a great ear, and 'feel' for the rhythms of the text. It also makes it easy for me to imitate other voices and accents. My teaching experience helps me make short and long-form narration lively, conversational, and compelling, as well as intelligent and authoritative. I'm comfortable with medical, legal and other technical terminologies. I'm flexible, patient, and quick thinking, and I enjoy taking direction
