Because I am a trained mezzo-high soprano singer, my melifluous voice is pleasing and articulate. I have a talent of picking up accents spoken around me. But I am competent mostly with no accent whatsoever which I think is a good thing for an advertising voice.

My Voice Experience

Church choir singing; reading from the pulpit in church, speaking loudly and articulately for hard of hearing relatives; receptionist are only some of the reasons why my voice is desirable. Two years I sang with a local Sweet Adeline (female barbershop) chorus and auditioned for comedy skits. I am funny and have a great laugh.

My Training

I believe life experiences are worth more than degrees. My music training where I learned phrasing, pausing at commas, dynamics, diction, and projection of the voice, etc., made me confident about my voice. English was my best subject in school therefore can read anything, aloud, precisely.

Additional Skills

My involvement with church social groups and employment with United Way, gave me avenues to do some public speaking. Other jobs with customer service opportunities, including extensive telephone work gave me many chances to use my voice over talent.
