Voice Description
I have a deep, throaty voice that is clear and interesting as well as sounding cultured with a hint of literary intelligence. I sound sexy, mysterious, character, story-teller, intelligent, sardonic, animated. I am adept at dry-reading any script and can lead the listener along the lines of what the writer wants them to know by sheer voice inflection.
My goal is to become an audiobook narrator and bring life to my work.
I can perform nearly any character from a nine-year-old bookworm to a guts-and-glory dirtbiker.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
Living in the southwestern states of the U.S. I can quite easily sound like an Idaho farmgirl or a bubbly California teen. I can sound like a Southern Belle stuck in a time that doesn't accomodate her or a thrity-something businesswoman living in New York. I command the ability to use a British/English accent that can range from Cockney to posh. I can be a Scottish lady of the manor or a cow farmer in the northernmost reaches of the U.K.
I've also practiced an Irish brogue that is helped on by my Emerald Isle heritage though my Russian accent needs polishing. My french accent has people supposing my lineage to be of the Gauls and is going to be further enhanced when I finish learning the language.
I must say though, that I am hopeless when it comes to conquering the accent native to Australia.
My Voice Experience
My family was born under a theatrical star for we have been performing and entertaining people since I can remember. One of my earliest memories is that of my four-year-old self playing the lead in a skit put on for my grandparents. I was Little Red Riding Hood.
I was not very good because 'grandmother' stayed locked in the cupboard while I tried to recall my lines. My inability to remember, "Grandma, what big teeth you have." had disastrous effects on my career because I did not play the lead again until I was thirteen; my character was that of a world-weary college student attempting to avoid the attention of a boy. I played "Anne" in The Summer Break Talent Show that was put on for the benefit of our local fire department.
When the summer had ended, my family and I took ourselves to our local Nursing Home where we recited poetry, danced, sang and impersonated the great icons of the 1940's for our elders.
One of them being a former Cheesecake pinup who loved Louis L'Amour novels and had to have them read aloud to her due to failing eyesight. She died before I finished recording the ones we owned onto casettes for her.
After that, my family and I took part in a local talent display called 'Main in Motion'.
This is my experience.
My Training
I have no formal training at all and though I grew up around the theater, I have avoided the technicalities of doing what I love.
