Voice Description

My natural voice would be described as medium deep, however I can easily bring it down to James Earl Jones level. I am capable of providing various deliveries from deep serious to warm, teasing, and fun, as well as fast delivery infomercial type cadence. While I possess a good range from medium deep to very deep I am also capable of providing various original higher pitch character voices.

I was born and bred in New Jersey, Voices include NY/NJ Sopranos type, Straight educated light NJ, Southern US accents from cowboy to redneck to wise old timer.

UK Mix - A British/Australian/Irish/Scottish combo. If provided with an example of the UK dialect needed, I can provide a more regionally specific accent. A London vs. Liverpool vs. North England vs. Oliver Twist cockney are very different.

I can provide a wide range of original comedic character voices utilizing variations on the voices listed above and more.

My Voice Experience

When I was about 19 I was working construction when I was asked by a older gent whether I had ever done or considered doing voice over or radio work. I was perplexed. He went on to explain that he had spent 30 years in radio and that my voice was perfect for that career. I didn't listen.

I have experience as a professional musician, and some limited audio and video producing work for infomercial type productions. As a musician I have experience in multi-track recording and sound engineering. I also have non-professional experience in both on-camera character acting and voice over projects ranging from the absurd humorous sketch comedy to serious voice over.

I have decided to take the advice I've heard over the years to enter the profession of voice over related work. While I am new to this venue, I am not new to having my voice recorded, the process, editing and audio special effects.

Listen to my demos I will be uploading soon and new demos will be added frequently. I will be doing not only the voice but all recording and production work involved on these samples. You be the judge.

My Training

I have two years of College. I chose my courses from the standpoint of entrepreneurial value rather then from obtaining a diploma. My formal education included various Real Estate related courses, Business Law, Contractual Law, Marketing, Creative Writing, and Business.

My most valuable training is the result of real life experience. I have extensive sales experience of over 25 years ranging from selling cars to multi-million dollar real estate deals.

I have performed live and as well as in recording studios as a musician and as a producer and engineer.

I have been personally involved in building small businesses including publishing a monthly print periodical, writing and layout of advertising copy. I am familiar with and understand the importance of working with deadlines.

I am highly creative, comfortable and experienced behind a microphone or on the other side of the glass.

In conclusion I have the educational and extensive real life experience to understand a clients motivation and needs in a VO performance as well as being familiar with the recording a product.

It is my goal build mutually beneficial working relationships with both personal clients and agents.

My Studio Equipment

My studio capabilities include a working knowledge of Adobe Audition 64 track digital recording software, editing, and special effects. Capabilities to provide the product in various audio formats.

A variety of microphone setups from Shure 57 & 58, several live performance omni and uni-directional mics. I am in the process of now upgrading to one or more high quality recording microphones and will update this section soon.

An ADA rack mount studio stereo pre-amp amp, digital and analog 12 track mixing capabilities.

A myriad of instruments, Various electric and acoustic guitars, Mandolin, drums, keyboard, various amplifiers, studio monitors, and more.
