Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Working in radio requires you to be pretty artistic. I've voiced commercials that required me to have to utilize British, Irish, and Australia accents on mulitple occasions, so I have had the opportunity to work on these accents throughout the years. Also helps that I was able to receive instruction on these particular accents from people I have worked with throughout the years, one being from England, and one from Ireland.

My Voice Experience

My voiceover experience is mainly with radio commercials, but I have been utilized to voice and produce commercials for television as well. For both radio and television, I have voiced commercials for car dealerships, grocery stores, television promos, community events, and retail.

My Training

I have been working in the radio broadcasting business since 2000, beginning my career in Lafayette, LA, where I am originally from, then moving to Monroe, LA, where I continued my career in radio while attending the University of Louisiana at Monroe as a Mass Communications Major/ History Minor. Currently I am Production Director for Rooney Moon Broadcasting in Clovis, NM, where my duties require me to write, voice, and produce commercials for clients on a daily basis.

I also have a background in music, as a member of the Louisiana and New Mexico Army National Guard Bands for the past 13 years.

My Studio Equipment

Access to a studio is extremely easy for me to attain. My entire office is a produciton studio, equipped with a studio microphone and microphone processor, and 8 channel studio board. On my work computer is Cool Edit Pro, but on my personal labtop, I work with Audobe audition 2.0, so I am extremely familiar with both programs. Also, in my studio is a full production library complete with musicbeds and sound effects.
