Voice Description

My voice range can take a journey from the smallest child like voice for commercials and animated projects to the highly professional executive voice needed for PBS narrations, or corporate CD-Rom instruction guides. What exists between these two extremes is a plethora of voices. Accents of just about any kind can be heard- from the deep southern accent to the styles and accents of New York, continuing to England to Australian forms of dialect. If sexy and sultry are needed, you've found your voice over talent. My alto voice can fit almost any project in this arena. Need a sympathetic voice for a health related commercial, or maybe a feisty voice for a funny commercial? I've got the voice for it. The variety of voices I can do upon command are endless. Whether it's professional or quirky, or something in-between, look no further. It's all right here.

My Voice Experience

From the young age of three, I became aware of how fascinating voice recordings could be. Since that time, I've made hundreds of recordings both amateur and professional. I've volunteered for reading sessions at Senior Centers and Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic (RFB&D) after being told that I had a soothing and professional voice. This was very rewarding work, as I got to use my voice, and help others at the same time. Since then, I have been fortunate enough to work with George Flynn on various commercials and professional endeavors. When working with the best, you can learn quite a bit. Talents and creativity expand, and skill rises to all occasions.

My Training

My training has been with George Flynn; voice over talent and teacher. This combined with many sessions at a professional recording studio with George, I have fine tuned my voice over skills above and beyond other talents in the area. I have also had the opportunity to sing and record while playing the snare drum in a professional studio. This experience gave me the confidence needed to follow my heart to whatever voice related adventures I may encounter. When you know you've got what it takes, you're ready for anything.

Additional Skills

I'm a people person. In times of stress, I'm the one that calms everyone down and gets things under control. I'm also a take action person. I'm in charge of my High School reunions every other year, and have found that doing so has sharpened my people skills, along with setting and meeting goals. I love to volunteer. When I can touch the heart of someone in need, it is rewarding beyond words. I'm particularly fond of children and the elderly. Reading and recording books for them leaves an imprint on my heart like nothing else. I also love to make people laugh. Voice over opportunities have allowed me to touch on my comedic side. When I make people laugh, I find that I too am a happier person.
