Voice Description
I have a broad range of vocal abilities, going from FM radio announcer to Roger Rabbit, although my natural speaking voice is deep.
I can do many European accents, and can do a multitude of different 'classes' of British. As for American accents, I can do them all: southern, valley surfer, New Yorker, midwestern and even "ghetto".
My personal favorite voices to do are cartoon characters because they provide the biggest challenges and are the most different from anything else.

My Voice Experience
I've had to do a lot of projects ( films, cartoons, radio shows ) with small crews and low budgets, so that meant I had to learn how to do good voice work in order to save money hiring professionals.
Case in point, I am currently putting my spare time and money into directing a cartoon, and have to cut corners everywhere, so I'm doing all the voices.
I've produced a movie going to Sundance, and again, we couldn't afford a pro to do the V/O work for the trailers, so I had to record it as well as produce the audio.
I have a lot of experience in radio production, from professional stations to small 100 watt stations. For about two years, I hosted my own show which featured skits where I had multiple characters.... so I did all of those voices as well.
My Training
I spent hours as a kid imitating cartoon voices. When I was in high school, I entered a talent contest where I asked the crowd to shout out names of celebrities or cartoon characters to see if I could impersonate them, and I won.
My middle school was private and every year put on a Broadway musical at the local opera house. When I was cast in a leading role, I HAD to learn how to project and use my voice because we didn't have any microphones. Spent two years ( two plays ) learning that.
After interning at several local radio stations, I went to Full Sail Real World Education for film and audio production, where I learned the finer points of recording dialogue.

Additional Skills
Since then, I've worked several DJ jobs and also sold recording and pro audio gear at a Sam Ash Megastore.
Both of these jobs provided additional insight into not only voice performance but also recording for many different types of applications.
Also, most commercials and cartoons these days have a very tongue-in-cheek attitude that I understand and share. I've found that having a great sense of humor in this business is a big help.
