My Voice Experience

I have 20 years of experience as a voice-over talent, working on a range of international voice-over projects, including radio and TV commercials, movies, corporate videos and training, government messages.
I have an excellent reputation for speed and accuracy and, thanks to a corporate career, am also valued for my ability to take a personal interest in every text, grasp the intention and - where appropriate - contribute improvements to get the message across to the target audience.
I really enjoy the whole process of understanding what the client intends and giving my best to make that happen.

My Training

My work as a journalist/editor and creative writer/theatre director has given me a broad range of skills and appreciations (marketing awareness, podcasting, scripting, visuals etc) which enhance the voice aspect of my recording work.
I like to hear about the client's intention/audience etc in detail before undertaking the work so as to give the best possible result in the shortest possible time.

I generally work with a friend who has his own professional studio, producing mainly publicity to international clients.

Additional Skills

Additional skills often of interest to my clients are:-
1) Speed; no waste of studio time, clients are often amazed at how fast I can get through dense or lengthy texts without tripping up. I usually bring in their projects ahead of time, thus saving studio costs.
2) Marketing; an awareness of target audiences, campaign objectives etc means that I am fully committed to every project, and will happily contribute ideas/options where appropriate within the recording context.
3) Good humour; calm and resourceful under pressure.
4) Contacts; if you need more than one voice of a similar calibre for the same project, I often work with other experienced, non-union colleagues, meaning that we can present a joint quote and therefore save you studio costs.
