Voice Description
I have a wide range (alto thru soprano), but prefer a more alto range. My voice is a bit rhaspy and can sound sexy and smooth, warm and deep, fun and flirty, or whatever is needed for commercials, presentations, narrations or other recordings. I am especialy good at being able to mimic singers that I hear on commercials,or listen to a recording and be able to sing it back almost identically. I can sing all types of music but big band is my specialty. I've often been compared to Karen Carpenter, Reba MacIntyre, Shania Twain, Bette Midler and Linda Rhondstat, but probably most of all Judy Garland.

My Voice Experience
I've been in the music business for over 26 years. That doesn't include my childhood years (I started very young). After high school, I started singing lead in various bands for wedding receptions,, private parties, dance clubs, big band dances and brunches, etc. As an Airman in the United States Air Force, I competed in contests for TOPS IN BLUE, sang with the Air Force Big Band, worked as a singer in the NCO and Officer's clubs, did private weddings, and was one of the Air Forces' top National Anthem singers. I've performed in song and dance groups, choirs, and much more. Currently, I am the lead singer in a Praise and Worship band (for the past 10 years) and I have been singing The Canadian and American National Anthems for the Cleveland Indians baseball team for the past six years in a row. Of course, I still do weddings and private parties at request and the National Anthem for many local baseball clubs and other opening ceremonies and celebrations.
My Training
I took professional voice lessons at the Koch School of Music at Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, Ohio. I do not have training as a voice over and haven't worked in the recording industry before. However, I do have extensive experience in just about every other aspect of the music business and I have been asked by many people over the years why I have not gone into the recording business "with a voice like that"!!! Even though I have not had official training as a voice over singer/speaker, I am confident that I have the talent and needed experience to be excellent at it. It's something I've alway's wanted to do but wasn't sure just how to break into it.

Additional Skills
As I stated above, I believe my experience speaks for itself. I am currently a "Domestic Engineer" (a wife and mom with many talents) who sings on the side and would like to break into the voice over business. I'm especially interested in singing jingles for radio and T.V. commercials and making demo recordings for music writers. I would also love to record for voicemail and phone greeting services. I would appreciate your consideration for any voice over work that you feel my voice would be well suited for. Thank you!
