My Voice Experience

Voice for Blackwell Chevrolet for 3 years in the 80's.
Have written and recorded copy for television and radio for anything from furniture clients to apartment complexes. Have experience doing the on-hold recordings for hospitals and insurance companies. Have done voice overs for conservation films and health films.

My Training

Worked with Mississippi Recording Company in Jackson, Mississippi and WAPT Channel 16 television. Started out in 1982 doing voice over work just to keep food on the table. By 1988 I was heard on nearly every commercial break on any radio station in the Jackson, MS area. Have been told 100's of times that I should be a lady dj.

Additional Skills

I moved back to my hometown when my father got sick and have not been extremely active in the Jackson market since 1993. I am 46 but, people still comment on my voice...alot. I would like to get back into the business. I think I would do a good job for someone and I don't mind a big project and can make arrangements to travel if necessary. I am currently in the process of a BA in Journalism and Public Relations and will follow that with a Masters in Education and Communications as I plan to teach College Speech.
