Voice Description
Having done midday radio for most of my 13 year radio career, I do upbeat and cheerful naturally. I can be serious and professional or sultry and sexy. I've done some fun voices...a national spot for Little Ceasars where I was a very hyper Wisconsin-esque pizza fairy. I can do hard sell as well as soft. I think my voice is pleasant and flexible. Whatever the project, I'll do my best to deliver what you need.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
As mentioned earlier, I've got the Wisconsin pizza fairy down. I can do a country twang or a city slicker. I was once a reporter named Patty Cake for Dunkin Donuts...she was uptight and very serious about her journalistic skills...a fun spot to cut. As a kid, I was British one day, Scottish the next. I bet, if coaxed, I could channel that imaginative child again. Throw me what you have and I'll try anything.
My Voice Experience
Radio for 13 years has taught me to be versatile, creative, good in a pinch, quick, and ready for anything. Midday shift was my usual gig and my ratings said I was pretty good at what I did. My clients were pleased with their ads...I like to write, voice, and edit my own stuff...and most came back to me exclusively for future work. I've done a good deal of television spots for local tv stations. I've jocked at KYES fm in Eastland, Texas. That was phenomenal because my main gig was a call-in garage sale show. I moved on to KTLC fm in Abilene, Texas. Easy listening overnights....wow, Air Supply all night means a lifetime supply of Diet Dr. Pepper. I moved on to KWTL fm in Lansing, Michigan. They only had room for me on the weekends but it was a great experience. I took a few years off and went to KLAW 101 and Z94 in Lawton, OK. KLAW is country and I did everything from the morning show to middays. Earned some national buys for the sales team with a few spots there. My live remotes were numerous there...I'm good on the spot. I also skipped across the hall to Z to be the rocker chick. I loved them both and what air talent doesn't have some mild form of multiple personality disorder? From there I moved to a Top 40 called KMGZ fm. I did more of the same--middays, spots, remotes, and got a stint as the Program Director. Whatever it is, I can do it. Gimme a shot!
My Training
I have two years in journalism and English but my real communications training is on the job. It's hard to find a quality female voice...so I've been told...and I'd like to think I am one.
My Studio Equipment
I am using an iMac computer with CubaseLE1 or Garage Band. I have a Firebox and a Bluebird Mic. I have a small collection of music and can put a little ditty under if you want it.
Additional Skills
I also work as a freelance children's educational writer...I work on deadline, I have to be self-motivated, and if I don't understand something, I'll pout for a bit then figure it out. My employers say I don't have a big ego and they can always count on me to take their criticism as constructive and do what I can to complete the project to specifications. It's not about me....it's about the client.
