My Voice Experience

I am a little over a year into continuously learning voice over techniques and professionalism from a magnificent teacher at Mike Lemon Studios. She has taught me the many intricate aspects of using my own instrument, my voice, to portray to those who cannot see me the feeling of taking them away to whichever world the words on the paper instruct me to. I am now bringing all of my passion,sexiness and sensuality to my voice and to my listeners. I've learned how to read three sentences rapidly on one breath and to inhale through my nose and exhale through my mouth to use my diaphragm efficiently. I have auditioned for Nj State Tourism,and for telephone voice prompts, while falling back on my telephone operator career. I may be small on experience but I am big on personality......and voice.

My Training

I have been a telephone operator with Verizon for 11 years, so I have professional experience with communicating without being seen and I know from first hand that it's not always what you say but how you say it. I have taken Voice over Technique at the Mike Lemon Studios in Philadelphia, with Joanne Joella. I have taken invitation only private lessons with Joanne at her home for 6 weeks and have learned a tremendous amount of information from her expertise. Her lessons include, breathing technique, perfecting professionalism, eliminating regional sounds, recognizing my weakness, and playing up my strengths,reading speeches, voice fluctuations,providing different character voices for the same read,and working with a partner. She has also taught me how to remain true to myself and my voice while marketing both.

My Studio Equipment

I do not have my own studio as yet, but I do have access to one. I have my own equipment to record, edit, and add music to my work.

Additional Skills

I am a creative individual and would like to continue a career in the field of using my voice and expressing myself. I've worked with Verizon as a telephone operator,my experience include reading instructions and training manuals to classes of my peers and with a children's store called Zany Brainy where I read storybooks to children.
