Cartoon Voice, Offbeat, Character Specialist
I am essentially androgynous; I can do a deep, warm, sonorous male voice for narration, a velvety older-woman's voice, children, wacky and goofy cartoon characters, stentorian male voices for movie trailers, smooth and professional voices for presentations and phone services, British accents, Scottish accent, Chicago accent, Brooklyn accent, German accent, golly-gee-whiz type young boys, crusty old grandfather, older women in the upper-class Lady Bracknell mode, loud punk voices, and any kind of crazy, out-of-control character voices.

My Voice Experience
I am primarily a theatre actor and have been in several shows. I was involved in a scene from Hedwig and the Angry Inch wherein I was recorded doing the voice of Luther, Hedwig's African-American lover. I am also a self-recording musician and have multi-tracked my voice singing many times. I have made independent films in which I have done much voice-over work, including "And now, the nightly news," puppet and animation voices, segues, spooky voices for trippy scenes, narration for both comedy and horror, and comedic voices.
I am approaching graduation from Wittenberg University with a B.A. in theatre. I am planning to go to graduate school with a concentration in acting and voice. I have taken four semesters of voice lessons (singing), and also a semester of voice for the actor, utilising the Arthur Lessac method, with which i am now well-acquainted. I have also, in the course of my 30 years as a musician, performed live as both musician and vocalist many times. I took Acting I, II and III, all of which contained work on projection and precise diction. In addition, I was in one show where we were expected to fill a 1,200 seat auditorium with our voices and no floor mics. It was a challenge but we got it done.
My Studio Equipment
In the analogue field, not that it is widely used anymore, I have a series of Shure microphones, a four-track Yamaha recording machines, and an array of voice-altering effects at my disposal including rotating speaker, tremolo, vibrato, delay / echo, reverb, chorus, phaser, flanger, ring modulator, distortion, compression, wah, and sundry others.
In the digital field, I record via Goldwave and Sonar 7; again, this includes many effects that can be added, and includes pitch altering, doubling, EQ controls and many others. I usually record in MP3 format but the programs I use also allow for other formats including AVI, WAV and MP4. I can send up to 24 MB at a time via my current email, and could probably send flash drives or other devices with larger capabilities via regular mail.
I have been advised by every theatre teacher and director I have ever had to get into voice-over work; my voice is extremely flexible and has been described as mellifluous. I have taken German classes and can speak some German with an accurate accent; I have always had an ear for accents and languages, and can pick up the basics of an accent very quickly. My projection is also very good and my pitch as a singer is usually quite accurate.
