Voice Description

Depending on the script and type of recording needed, I am capable of sounding warm and friendly for commercials and narrations, or sensuous for cosmetic and clothing ads. As a former news anchor/director, talk-show host and spokesperson, I can also project a professional and authoritative image.

Having worked in Public Television for many years, my studio voice lends itself perfectly to a strong corporate image for narrations and documentaries. (Think "History" or "Discovery" channel.)

My character voices range from country to witch..."evil Natasha" on "Bullwinkle" to a New York Jewish grandmother. From "Elmo" to "May West" - from "starlet" to "harlot"...I'll add a bit of spice and fun to your next project.

My Training

As an actress and professional dancer, most of my training came from the theater and films. At thirteen, I was modeling for Seventeen Magazine and people would often comment on my voice. I was soon recording radio and television commercials, narrations and story telling.

I also teach speech, elocution and voice over training to beginners and corporate speakers. I have 18 films to my credit and hundreds of commercials from airlines and automobiles to cosmetics and retail stores as well as corporate, technical and medical voice services and travelogs.

One of the very lucky ones, with a natural talent and the ability to read scripts "cold", I learned mostly by listening to others while working in the performing arts - which led to communications, media production and news journalism. I also graduated with a degree from the National Academy of Fine Arts and was twice voted Regional President of American Women in Radio and Television.
