My Voice Experience

Tom is a "journeyman" talent having worked for many years in commercials, retail, narration, characters, looping, legal and everything in between. I was even a hand model a few times-go figure.

As a spokesperson Tom's style is genuine and intelligent. His work is seasoned with his rich timbre and a singular wry sense of humor.

But he's also your clinical psychologist, your resonant mouthpiece and your arresting officer. Tom's your fishin' buddy, your dopey dad and your whipped spouse. He's your conscience, your concierge and your conscience speaking. Comedic reads are my specialty.

In the character realm I have been run through, hacked to death, set on fire and thrown off buildings as a wide array of characters for Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, M-Project, Kane and Lynch. My favorite though was heckling you around the course in Speed Golf.

Focused, professional and very directable.

Name a high tech company in silicon Valley and I've likely worked for them. Kia, Ford, Honda, Macy's, hospitals, Microsoft, Slingbox, Clorox and a bait shop in Alabama (kidding).

My Training

Currently a voice coach with a thriving practice here in San Francisco, I also teach classes in commercial, narration, character, script analysis with VoiceOne.

I began my training at VoiceTrax in Sausalito eventually becoming an instructor there and teaching hundreds of classes for about a decade.

I have studied with Marice Tobias, Thom Pinto and Marla Kirban Studios (in New York City).

I have a degree in Industrial Design (Product Design) from The Ohio State University.

Sennheiser 416, Micport Pro, Soundstudio, and Macs. I can send raw (edited)voice files in any popular format via email or FTP. You can direct me via speakerphone in my studio at home. Otherwise I use any one of several fully equipped professional studios here in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Voiceover has been my career since 1989 and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I have tirelessly pursued new avenues both creatively (music, improv) and professionally (see APDIC below).

I created an organization called A.P.D.I.C.; The Advertising Professionals Drinking and Indulgence Council to throw huge industry mixers here in San Francisco sponsored by studios, ad agencies and post production houses. These parties have brought thousands of industry professionals together.

I sit on the Board of Directors of the Screen Actors Guild.

Myself and others created ACME Loop Group to loop movies, documentaries and TV shows.

Over the years I have created improv groups, workout groups and social events.
