Voice Description

I'm can provide a variety of voicing styles and deliveries and am easy to direct. I can be funny or serious depending on the project. My "stuffed announcer" voice is a cross-over of Ted Knight and Don Pardo, which is useful for a light-hearted spot featuring an entertaining "announcer guy." I love to do different voice characters and humor. For high-energy commercials or big sale events, I can be very upbeat and impactful. I can also write jingles and sing a tune.

My Voice Experience

I've been doing voice over work for over 20 years mainly for radio and television commercials. I Own and operate AD-Ventures In ADvertising, a small advertising firm, as well as a mobile DJ company, The Dee Jay Network, where I recruit, train and supervise a DJ staff of about 10. I own and operate my own production studio and perform multiple voice over work for radio and television spots, documentaries, narrations, and on-hold messages. I also write, record and produce jingles and music.

My Training

I started in college radio back in 1983. I was able to perfect my announcer skills while working part-time in broadcast top40 radio. I was also DJing parties and events part time which also helped to perfect my skills as a DJ and Master of Ceremonies.
I love my career as it allows me to be very creative and I get to learn something new with each project.

Additional Skills

I'm also an accomplished guitar player and have performed in local rock bands. Our current recording group, Long Distance, has a CD out (www.longdistancemusic.com).
