My Voice Experience
My favorite toy when I was a kid was a tape recorder - Ever since I learned to talk I have been playing radio voice over guy. I learned how to lower my voice and speak like an adult when I was in middle school. I used to call up the school impersonating my Father so I could skip school. I was fascinated with radio and voice over and had planned on going into communications. But my girlfriends father talked me out of it 20 years ago. I instead went in to sales and have been quite successful with that over the last 20 years. But I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have been told "you should be doing voice over work" or "you have a perfect radio voice". When I had a brief career as a bad comedian my manager told me "Todd, your voice is made for talking - not stand up". My wife will tell me after I have been yammering on about any subject "Todd, you sure do love the sound of your voice" and it's true I do. If given the opportunity and a microphone I will talk for hours! I have had dozens of people tell me I should quit my job and go into this field of work. So tell me how can I get more people to listen to my voice?
My Training
I was an English Major and took several public speaking classes where I excelled. I have had brief careers as a comedian and wedding DJ. I have given dozens of professional seminars and informal presentations in my profession. I have trained myself to create perfect annunciation in order to set an example for my son and it's worked. I have the most well spoken 4 year old I have ever met!
