Voice Description
I can do a range of voices but I prefer to do humorous ones. My range is baritone and my normal timbre is not too bright and not too mellow. Average, perhaps? I don't do very high-pitched voices unless you're willing to allow pitch shifting after the fact.
The best description is a listen to my demos.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
I do vaguely accurate caricatures of Puerto Ricans, Australians, rich and snobbish types, elderly men, gruff mechanics, stuffy old professors, Jamaican, Irish, British, African-American, New Yorkers, Cajun, Southern Billy-Bobs, etc.
I do a few impersonations (like Rodney Dangerfield etc).
I can also do serious narration, audiobooks and sales pitches.
My Voice Experience
I've been doing odd voices since childhood but have only recently started to actively pursue it as a means of earning some income.
I've recently voiced the following projects.
1) EPA Institute Environmental Law Class (almost 600 pages of script)
2) Randomwalk "Options Professional Course" (DVD series on making money in the stock market)
3) Mushroom Age (PC game, I voiced Dino the Dinosaur, the uber mushroom, the zombie mushroom, Leo DaVinci and the mushroom chorus.
4) VO for two commercials for TVissimo.
My Training
B.S. in Computer Science, 25 years of guitar/music/recording.
My Studio Equipment
I use PC software and an Audio Technica condenser mic. I apply effects such as limiting, compression, reverb, eq, as well as de-essing and other "tricks"to achieve a good, clear sound. But the most overlooked (yet not under-appreciated) piece of studio gear is the snip of panty hose stretched in front of the mic that keeps my P's from sounding like a kick drum. I've done CD mastering and recording engineering/mixing on a small scale.
Additional Skills
I'm easy to work with and very professional. I take being silly serious. :) I have been a computer programmer, telemarketer, rock guitarist, recording engineer, fiction writer, college instructor, guitar instructor, music store salesman, award-winning painter (two of them are in museums), and now I want to add voice talent to the list!
